Since 1995 the Hawaiian Petroglyph Company has been creating sculpture inspired by Hawaii's petroglyphs . These pieces are individually cast by sculptor Charlie Corda at his foundry studio in north Kohala on Hawaii island.

Recycled aluminum is heated to 1500 degrees F, then carefully poured into a variety of sand moulds. After the pieces have cooled they are burnished, then clad with a durable weather resistant finish.
